Ronseal's Ultra Tough Hardglaze Varnish protects the wood against everyday knocks and scrapes whilst bringing out the natural beauty of the wood with a rich, clear and mellow finish. It is also tough against chemicals, water and heat making it ideal for kitchen tables, coffee tables and more.

Preparation
Thorough preparation will give you a smooth finish with long-lasting protection.
- Remove any previous waxes or oils by thoroughly cleaning the surface with white spirit and a cloth.
- Sand the surface with a 120 grit sandpaper to leave a smooth surface, ensuring to remove any cracked or flaking paint.
- Ensure to remove any dust before applying the varnish.
Application
We recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility with the surface, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the packaging.
- Stir the varnish thoroughly to achieve a smooth consistency.
- Apply using a brush working in the direction of the wood grain.
- Allow to dry for six hours before applying 2 more coats.
- Before applying the third and final coat, lightly sand the surface and remove any dust to give you a beautiful finish.
Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Clean up any spills as soon as possible and give the surface a general clean on a regular basis.
Repair
Any damaged sections sand until smooth and apply three coats of varnish to the same spot.
