After preparing the timber for painting this wood stain, a first coat will add a wash of colour and soak into the timber. Subsequent coats will strengthen the colour and add to the waterproofing. If you don’t want to make the colour stronger use Wood Stain and Protect Clear Tough Coat to add further protection but not colour.

Advice: 2 coats are recommended with further coats increasing the solidity of the colour. Wood Stain Protect is a wood stain coating so will wear off over time. If applying Wood Stain Protect to a garden building that will be subjected to high levels of exposure to weather, it is recommended that you apply Protek Clear Tough Coat as a top coat.
