Overview
Protect interior wood surfaces with Barrettine's Armourflex Hardwax Oil which is a tough, durable and water repellent surface. The natural oil and wax formulation is ideal for enhancing the durabilty of floors, furniture and any interior hardwood or softwood surfaces. Available in matt, or satin it will give you a surface that is resists stains, dirt and scratches. Also resistant to common household stains such as tea, coffee, wine, beer and fruit.

Preparation
Thorough surface preparation will ensure the longevity of the surface and finish.
- Freshly laid wood will need to be acclimatised in the room for several days before apply the oil.
- Any previous coatings must be completely removed by sanding back the surface, we usually recommend a 120 grit sandpaper however also follow the flooring manufacturers instructions.
- Remove any resinous deposits with a scraper and degrease the surface with methylated spirits.
- Repair any cracks or holes with a suitable wood filler.
- Sand the surface with a 120-150 grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth surface and remove and dust.
Application
We recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility with the surface, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the packaging.
- Always ensure the room is well ventilated throughout application and the drying process.
- Stir thoroughly before use, this product is ready to use and does not require thining.
- Always apply thin coats using a short pile roller, good quality brush or a . We recommend to apply tin the direction of the wood grain for best results.
- Applying this product too thickly will increase drying times and reduce the qulaity of the finish.
- On previously treated timber one coat is normally sufficient, a maximum of two coats may be required if applying to fresh or previously untreated timber.
- The surface will be dry in 6-8 hours and is suitable for light traffic 16 hours after the final coat.
